Reminiscing.....and ranting bout Football!

I've been reminiscing on my old school days, which was like 13 years ago.

I started thinking bout the good old days since I met up with my old school buddies.

I had a truly good and wonderful time in both primary and secondary school. Alot of friends were made, ALOT of good memories as well.

The one thing I remember the most was that, no matter the time, we were always playing football, either in the school field or classroom. We even played football using our fingers as legs, and a paper ball on the class desk. We simply loved the game, and back then it was all about the game. We never knew how much a player made, who was the players wife or if he had an affair or a few dozens. It was all about the game...which is a far cry from today's view on the game.

For example, The Sun newspaper Malaysia, post write ups on WAGS..in the sport section. Do I look a guy who wants to know who is married to her? Has she even played the game...or even know what football is? Why is the posting/printing/write up of a WAG important to the game? As long as the player can play, thats fine by me and it does not bother me if he is married to a donkey for all I care. In fact, I think, that would interest me more that a WAG!

Plus, the amount of money being thrown around, is simply amazing. WOW...never knew a player could be worth $25 million and be known as "the glass man". Would you pay $25 million for even a statue made of glass? +HINT: YES, IT BREAKS EVER SO EASILY!!+ Jeez, you think, how many children who are without food and water that we could feed on $25 million...and it makes you wonder, what the hell was someone thinking?!

Football....great game, but too many hands are surely spoiling the game, taking the focus off field and into the unknown, the unwanted, the wasted. The focus should be on the game, and the game, and not the damn wife, what car the player drives, where their children goes to school, where they stay, how much they make, how much they drink, how many affairs/sex scandals they have, how many they spend on holidays, where they go for holidays, what they do when they are at home, what they do in the toilet, etc etc etc.

Jeez, it's ONLY the game that I am interested in!
